One-Appointment Crowns
When older or larger fillings show signs of breaking down or new decay, a crown (cap) is indicated to restore your tooth. Traditionally this is a two appointment procedure that involves wearing a temporary crown for two weeks. At River City Dental, we provide you the option of Cerec technology that allows you to have a crown completed in one visit. Cerec is a computer system that designs the crown during the same appointment and has a milling machine that makes the crown right in our office! The Cerec crowns allow us to make all white crowns that are very esthetic and save more of the natural tooth than a traditional crown. Not all teeth are candidates for Cerec crowns, but a thorough exam can help decide which teeth are appropriate.
